McLaren Solus GT Highlights  

Like the meaning of its name, the Solus GT is genuinely one-of-a-kind. It's the world's first single-seater with a centrally closed cockpit and jet aircraft-style canopy.

The unique monocoque of the Solus GT houses a naturally aspirated 5.2-liter V10 engine that revs beyond 10,000 rpm and generates more than 840 horsepower in a ruthlessly pared-down machine that weighs less than 1,000kg and generates 1,200kg of downforce. To control all that power, there Solus GT comes equipped with a 7-speed sequential transmission that uses racing-style straight-cut gears, and a carbon fiber clutch with automated software.  The result is a unique McLaren hypercar that launches from 0 – 62mph in a target time of just 2.5 seconds with speeds beyond 200 mph. In short, the Solus GT is as close to the experience and feel of driving a Formula 1 car as it can get.
