Powerful Hybrid Powertrain in the 2020 McLaren Speedtail

The impressive speed and acceleration of the McLaren Speedtail can mostly be credited to its powerful hybrid powertrain. The hybrid powertrain in the Speedtail is quite different from other hybrid models, for its batteries perpetually “self-charge” when the vehicle is driven and utilize a wireless charging pad instead of a plug-in system. The speed and acceleration of the Speedtail can also be credited to its lightweight carbon fiber construction, with a dry weight of only 3,153 pounds.
