The above video gives fans a unique spectacle of creativity and motorsport coming together. Weighing in at approximately 1,220 kg, the LEGO McLaren P1 features fully operational steering. It’s powered by eight motor packs consisting of 96 LEGO Power Function motors each, totaling 768 motors, allowing it to emulate the power of the original McLaren P1’s V8 engine. Lando Norris, known for his speed and agility on the Formula 1 circuit, brought the LEGO McLaren P1 to life as he took it on the legendary Silverstone track. Silverstone, a venue steeped in the McLaren racing legacy, provided the perfect backdrop for Norris to showcase the capabilities of this extraordinary creation.
The project took an astonishing 8,344 hours to complete, with a dedicated team of 23 specialists from both LEGO and McLaren working tirelessly to make this dream a reality.
