How many 2022 McLaren Artura models will be built?

2022 McLaren Artura Production Quantity

McLaren vehicles tend to hold a well-earned reputation of exclusivity. It’s always an exciting event when you see one cruising the streets of Chicago; they’re simply not a common machine.

One reason for this is that many McLaren models are only produced in limited quantities. Here at McLaren Chicago, we’ve recently been lucky enough to receive the all-new 2022 McLaren Artura in our inventory. Interested customers have been asking: how many Artura models will be produced?

McLaren has not released an exact figure regarding how many 2022 Artura models will be produced. However, we don’t expect the build quantity to be very limited, as McLaren is aiming for the Artura to be produced as a more “entry-level” model than other McLaren machines.

As the new entry-level McLaren, the Artura is slated to replace Sport Series models such as the McLaren 570S and 600LT. The number of these vehicles produced was not limited in quantity but merely limited in the duration of time for which they were produced. We expect the Artura to follow the same path.

Of course, for McLaren, an entry-level vehicle still means a starting price of $225,000, as this is still a cutting-edge, mind-blowing supercar. Compared to other McLaren models that top one or even two million dollars in price, however, the Artura seems like quite the bargain.

What makes the McLaren Artura different from other Sports Series models?

The 2022 McLaren Artura is a truly all-new McLaren machine. It sheds the V8 engine and carbon-fiber monocoque bodies used by McLaren models past, replacing the former with a V6 plug-in hybrid powertrain and the latter with a fresh carbon monocoque.

Are most McLaren vehicles produced in limited amounts?

Many McLaren models, due to their exclusive nature, are produced in limited quantities. The initial run of the McLaren Speedtail, for example, was limited to just 106 cars. In a similar vein, only 765 of the McLaren 765LT were churned out.
