How does the final McLaren 600LT Spider look?

The 600LT Spider line of vehicles is coming to an end here in North America, as all units have been ordered and accounted for, save the final dozen. These last twelve units feature an incredible, unique design theme created by McLaren Special Operations, and we know you’re interested to find out how it looks. The short answer is good, but we’ll dive into the specifics on the McLaren 600LT Spider Segestria Borealis by MSO below.

“The McLaren 600LT Spider Segestria Borealis by MSO is a singular example of the visionary, creative approach to the artistry of McLaren Special Operations. Like any 600LT, it is a purposeful, single-minded and menacing creation, but in this instance all the power and performance of this supercar is expressed in a unique and striking design scheme that fits with the desire of many McLaren owners to personalize their cars to make them truly their own.”

– Anthony Joseph, President, McLaren North America

Exterior Design of the McLaren 600LT Spider Segestria Borealis by MSO

Nicknamed “Spider Spider,” these final twelve models are a true embodiment of what it means to be a McLaren Longtail vehicle. They feature all the aspects that have become synonymous with the LT lineup: higher power, lower weight, improved aerodynamics, enhanced engagement and dynamics fit for the track – on top of, of course, the limited availability. This dozen, however, also features an incredible design theme taking inspiration from real venomous spiders.

The Segestria Borealis by MSO design theme features twin Napier Green stripes extending back from the vehicle’s nose to the exhausts that exit on the top of the tail, which were inspired by the green fangs of those venomous spiders we mentioned. Secondly, the Borealis black MSO Defined paint color features undertones that change with the angle of light, shimmering between deep greens, purples and clarets in addition to the black. This was inspired by the iridescent black body of those same spiders.
