The longtail body achieves these impressive downforce levels by having the airflow separated to go around, over, under, and through the McLaren 600LT. The rear end has also been extended improve the downforce even further.
Behind the front splitter is another part that works to improve and generate downforce. The carbon fibre floor is lighter and stiffer with blades that help create downforce. Two intakes within the flat floor also help to channel cooling air to the front brakes and to direct excess airflow away from the wheel arches.
