This year marked the 50th anniversary of McLaren’s first Formula 1 World Championship victories. The legendary Ayrton Senna, forever etched in motorsport history, was rightfully honored. McLaren House displayed a stunning new design featuring the “Senna Sempre” paintwork techniques, a masterpiece by MSO, McLaren’s bespoke division. The vibrant yellow and green Senna with this special livery attracted a throng of enthusiasts, captivated by both the car itself and the incredible artistry on its surface.
The Solus GT, with its striking Mika Häkkinen-inspired livery, was a showstopper at Goodwood. McLaren factory driver Marvin Kirchhöfer emerged victorious in the Solus at Sunday’s Timed Shootout Final with a blistering time of 45.342 seconds. This feat secured McLaren’s position as the fastest car at Goodwood for the second time in three years, following the 720S GT3X’s triumph in 2021.
