McLaren Senna GTR LEGO® Technic™ to be Released at the New Year 

Both young and old LEGO® fans will be excited about the upcoming collaboration with McLaren Automotive. A few days ago, McLaren and LEGO® Group announced they were working on a new LEGO® Technic™ McLaren Senna GTR model. Just like its real-life counterpart, this model is a thrilling product for sportscar and LEGO® fans alike. The McLaren Senna GTR LEGO® Technic™ will be released at the beginning of the new year. 830 pieces of authentic and impressive detail

This McLaren LEGO® model is comprised of 830 pieces making it a great way to bond with your kids. The McLaren Senna GTR is also the first McLaren supercar to get a LEGO® Technic™ model. Just like the supercar, the LEGO® model pays attention to detail to make it an impressive replica. This includes the V8 engine complete with moving pistons, the aerodynamic curved body, working dihedral door, and a blue livery. This 12-inch model will make you feel like you shrunk down an actual McLaren Senna GTR model.

The official launch date for this model is January 1, 2021 and it will be sold at LEGO.com, LEGO stores and other retailers, and any participating McLaren retailers. This model will also be priced at $49.99. Robert Melville, Design Director at McLaren Automotive said about this project, “Recreating a car that is so extreme to the core as the McLaren Senna GTR with LEGO Technic gave us an incredibly interesting challenge.”

Although the McLaren Senna GTR is the first model to get a LEGO® Technic™ version, there have been a few models who have gotten their own LEGO® replicas since 2015. This includes the McLaren P1™, the McLaren 720S, and the McLaren Senna.
